Are your services covered by insurance?

Session fees may be reimbursable in whole or in part by Extended Health Care Plans, such as Blue Cross, that offer coverage for “psychology”, “psychotherapy” or “counselling.” Many employers also have assistance programs or health spending accounts for employees and their families that may be used for psychological services. Ask your employer or union about health coverage options. Psychological services are a tax-deductible medical expense.

Do I need a doctors referral to book an appointment?

Doctors referrals are not required to book an appointment.

Do you have sessions longer than 50 minutes?

110 minute sessions are available and are recommended for couple and family appointments.  Please click here to book an appointment.

Do you offer a free consultation prior to the first appointment?

We can definitely connect with you for a brief phone call, as addressing our relationship fit is a key determinant of your success in counselling.  Please contact us directly.

Do you offer Christian based counselling?

Maria can integrate Christian perspectives to counselling. However, this is optional. We also have experience working with clients from a wide variety of other faith, belief and spiritual backgrounds.

Do you offer direct billing to insurance companies?

Direct billing to insurance companies is available for a number of plans.

Is there parking near your office?

During COVID we will have limited office hours by special appointment only.  Free parking is available near our interim office, and details can be found here.

What are the costs for therapy?

Professional fees for individual, couple and family appointments are can be found here. For longer sessions, fees are charged on an incremental basis.

What can I expect from my first session?

We promise that your first session will not only be informative, but that you will leave with new understandings and perspectives about yourself and the makings of a plan with realistic goals.  Most of all, of your first session will bring you hope and clarity.
