Image. Identity. Integrity. Consider for a moment what these mean to you.
For us therapists, these are among the most important themes in therapeutic work. They are the representation and affirmation of our unique vulnerability and experience. So many of us don’t see ourselves clearly due to the negative voices blurring or distorting our vision. Often when we look into the mirror, we see ourselves through the flawed messages we have received in life and not as our beautiful essential selves. Counselling thus serves as a mirror to see ourselves truthfully, so we get a clearer reflection of what is truly inside. But what if you could actually see your Image, Identity and Integrity with your own eyes in your own face? Our hope is that you will take up our invitation to work with Lori to see yourself the way we see you; as your own core truth looking back at you.
I have known Lori and her gift in photography for many years. I have heard her say that her purpose is to provide compassionate and kind, personal and empowering portraiture; something most women haven’t experienced. I admire and appreciate her ability to photograph one’s ‘truest self’. Lori is one of those people who naturally evokes your whole, essential, best self forward and captures it for you to see it yourself. So whether you are curious who is inside that wants to be seen or are looking for a way to retain what feels so clear within; Lori will capture this ‘inner spirit’. She is particularly gifted at photographing women in significant stages of life; in full aliveness at the beginning of significant parenting or professional journeys; at times when one wants to preserve the blessings of life as they are felt; and as one prepares for death.
